Cushman & Wakefield and C&W Services Singapore commemorated its annual Safety Hour last May 18, 2018 in conjunction with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) program. The Safety Hour is part of our WSH initiative to drive knowledge, ownership and accountability for safety, health and well-being with our employees and suppliers.
To commemorate Safety Hour this month, we held a safety video competition in January where all employees can produce their safety videos with content that is aligned with WSH’s “Prevent all injuries. Go home safe and healthy” theme. A total of eight entries were submitted to the competition.
The winning video was announced last Friday, May 18, and the video was shared to all employees in our Chai Chee office as well as across all our work sites. Titled “480 Minutes”, the winning entry was submitted by PPP ITEW. You can watch it here.
Two other winners were announced, garnering the second and third spots respectively. They were:
- Corp FM, video titled “An Ordinary Day” – 2nd place
- G&I A*Star Fusionopolis, video titled “Safety in Cleanroom Environment” – 3rd place
View their videos here.
The top three winners walked away with the following prizes:
- 1st place – S$500 CapitaMall shopping vouchers
- 2nd place – S$300 CapitaMall shopping vouchers
- 3rd place – S$200 CapitaMall shopping vouchers
Consolation prizes in the form of Starbucks vouchers were handed out to the rest of the participating teams.
Aside from the video contest, we also conducted CWalk exercises across all our sites. The exercise focused on ladder safety, which included a check on safety performance in the workplace, inventory of all ladders and robust engagement between the leadership and our teams on site through open and direct conversations.
